Actress Anita Bjork was divorced when she became involved with Stig Dagerman, who left his wife and children for her. They had a daughter together but Stig, consumed by guilt for leaving his young family, committed suicide. Anita was sacked by a studio scared of the scandal, her chance of a career in Hollywood destroyed.
