italy

In 1975 a worker for Fiat bought at a lost property auction two paintings that had been left on a train. When he tried to sell them last year, he was told that they were by Gaugin and Bonnard, they had a value of 35million euros, and they'd been stolen. As the original owners have no heirs, he has been allowed to keep them.
